Ordering and Shipping
Q: Do you really offer free shipping?
A: Yes. All orders to the contiguous United States and Canada ship for free. There is no minimum purchase, and there are no hidden fees.
Q: How long will it take to get my order?
A: After we process your order (1‑2 business days), delivery takes:
- United States (48 states): 3‑5 business days
- Canada: 5‑8 business days
These are estimates. Actual delivery may be slower due to carrier or customs delays.
Q: Can I track my package?
A: Yes. You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. Use that link to see real‑time updates.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal only.
Q: Do Canadian customers have to pay duties or taxes?
A: Yes. Canadian customers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or brokerage fees charged by Canada Customs. Birkensttock does not collect or pay these charges.
Returns and Refunds
Q: What is your return policy?
A: You have 30 days from delivery to request a return.
- If there is no defect: the item must be unused and in original packaging.
- If the item is defective or damaged upon arrival: contact us within 7 days – the “unused” condition does not apply.
Q: How do I start a return?
A: Email info@birkensttock.com with your order number and the reason for return. We will send you a prepaid return label and instructions.
Q: Who pays for return shipping?
A: Birkensttock pays. We provide a free prepaid return label for all eligible returns. This applies to Canadian customers as well – the label covers the cost of shipping back to our U.S. address.
Q: How fast will I get my refund?
A: We process refunds within 1‑2 business days after receiving your return. Your bank may take an additional 7‑10 business days to show the credit in your account.
Q: Can I exchange an item for a different size?
A: We do not offer direct exchanges. Please return the original item for a refund and place a new order.
Product Quality
Q: What does “Birkensttock Quality” mean?
A: We inspect every product for comfort, durability, and finish. If you find a defect, we will replace it or give you a full refund – no hassle.
Q: Where are your products made?
A: Our products come from trusted manufacturers around the world. Each product page lists the country of origin.
